Please help I need some advise before I go crazy!!!
So here is my situation Kyler is now almost 8 months old he will be on the 29th. Anyways in about the past 2 months he has had 2 ear infections and he used to sleep so good but sense the first ear infection he has not been sleeping it feels like at all at night. He used to wake up once at around 4 in the morning nurse and then go right back to sleep and wake up around 7. Now I kid you not he wakes up every 3 hours, and then towards morning 2 to 2 1/2 hours. He is worse then a new born lately. I have tried everything I've given him oatmeal before he goes to bed, I've tried a bottle of formula before he goes to bed. I swear nothing works. If anyone has any advise I would greatly appreciate it before I go insane from no sleep at night. I swear Baylee and Mckayla where pretty much sleeping through the night by now. Not Kyler though he slept better when I first brought him home from the hospital then he does now. The sad thing is he has gotten these 2 ear infections recently and winter hasn't even started yet what happens when winter starts.. I just hope he's not sick all winter.... Anyways if anyone has any advise please feel free to share.

I'm one of those mean moms. I let my kids scream and cry it out. It SUUUUCKS for about 3 or 4 mornings because you're still awake listening to them cry for about 1 1/2 hours sometimes. But then they just learn to go right back to sleep and life is good again.
You have probably done this, but I am never really sure when my kids have ear infections or not, because they don't pull on thier ears or anything, they are just really cranky. On the days that they seem 'off' I usually give them some tylenol or motrin just before bedtime. It has always seemed to help. You could also use a ear themometer to check his temp. It seems that my kids have had a slightly higher temp in the ear that hurts (like 100-or higher). There is nothing worse than not getting the sleep you need. Hopefully things change for you soon. Good Luck.
Ear infections... my nemesis! My little B. had infections from the time she was born (they even think she was born with one, if that's possible). Her "file" is already an inch thick and she's barely four! Anyway, if the infections don't stop and if they keep coming back, I would suggest an ENT and look into tubes (I know there's a ton of controversy out there about tubes, but if it relieves some pain for the little ones, it's worth it, right!?). If you're not interested in tubes or if the infections are only every so often, squeeze a tiny drop of garlic oil in his ear. Sounds gross and he'll stink like garlic, but it always worked to relieve some of the pain for B.
As far as the sleeping, I agree with someone before... let him cry it out if he's not got a fever or in pain. Chuck used to have to bear hug me to keep me from going into them, but in the end it worked wonders. My kids have slept clear through the night since they were two months old without a hitch!
I agree with the other two comments, you have to let them cry it out. My doctor told me I could at Taeya's 2 month appointment, but I couldn't bare to do it unitl 6 months old, and she has slept through the night since. When we gave up her binki a few months ago, we started having problems again, but once again I had to let her cry it out. Now we don't have problems anymore. One night she cried for 2 1/2 hours! No fun, but worth it in the end. Good luck.!
